Passenger and baggage check-in
Cruise passengers are typically required to check-in at least 1 to 2 hours prior to departure. Most cruise lines issue guidelines for their requirements for passengers and baggage check-in. If you do not have these guidelines, please check with your travel agent or cruise operator for details.
As the boarding time for cruise ships are at least 2 to 4 hours, it is unnecessary to rush to board when the boarding gates open. Such practices result in long queues forming, delaying you passage on board.
Boarding a cruise ships is unlike an airline due to the relatively large number of passengers who board each cruise. Long boarding time windows allow passengers to board the ship in a leisurely fashion, at their own pace.
In Singapore all passengers to board the cruise ship at least 1 hour in advance of the ships departure. Hence, the boarding gate will typically close 1 hour before departure, but the time varies according to the cruise line. Please check with your travel agent or cruise operator for details pertaining to your cruise.
Never leave your luggage unattended or with strangers. Unattended items found in the terminal will be removed by Security Police.
Do not carry:
i) bags for other people
ii) bags or articles that do not belong to you
iii) items that are wrapped (eg. gifts) of which you have no knowledge of the contents.
