Boarding Times
As the boarding time for cruise ships are at least 2 to 4 hours, it is unnecessary to rush to board when the boarding gates open. Such practices result in long queues forming, delaying you passage on board.
Boarding a cruise ships is unlike an airline due to the relatively large number of passengers who board each cruise. Long boarding time windows allow passengers to board the ship in a leisurely fashion, at their own pace.
In Singapore all passengers to board the cruise ship at least 1 hour in advance of the ships departure. Hence, the boarding gate will typically close 1 hour before departure, but the time varies according to the cruise line. Please check with your travel agent or cruise operator for details pertaining to your cruise.
